The Benediction oil painting was created as a gift from the Most Holy Parishioners for Fr. Bill Remmell retirement in 2013.
The people in the painting, include Fr. Bill Remmel, the mysterious Elderly woman (which inspired this painting), and Bishop
Óscar Arnulfo Romero.

The Elderly woman that Fr. Bill is blessing is from a tiny village in Mexico, where there is no  church or a priest to give mass on a regular basis. Occasionally they were visited by Fr. Bill,  in the painting is giving her a blessing.  She would gather people to her home to come receive mass from Fr. Bill; knowing they may not have a mass or priest for an indefinite time.

On the left is Most Holy Trinity with American parishioners who love Fr. Bill, the children at the lower center, represent the gifts of bread, wine and fish, and to the right of the painting is Bishop Romero and his villagers and parishioners, the children have no shoes, represents their poverty.
There is a fish in the mosaic, “A” Mountain on the left of Most Holy Trinity, and in the center, the Most Holy Trinity Cross with dove logo, In whole, regardless of their financial situation, rich or poor, the people of all races in the painting represent, love, and faith, knowing that we can share something bigger than ourselves.

Fr. Bill Remmel and Bishop Óscar Romero, men who love the Lord and parishioners.
